The mobile telephone network Vodafone is one of the largest telecom networks in Australia. Vodafone regularly provides telecom services to 3 million customers, while its coverage encompasses 100% of Australia and 93% of its inhabitants.

Vodafone's airside store at Sydney International Airport caters to a wide variety of passing trade; holiday makers, business people, airport employees and more.

Previously, in-store posters and hoardings were used to provide customers with notice of products, contracts, deals and new special offers. In order to keep up-to-date with technology and its competitors, Vodafone began looking for a new way to communicate and interact with its customers. It found its answer with digital signage – a less expensive in the long term, fully interactive and easily updateable digital advertising system.

Vodafone required Easyweb to install five digital signage screens; two 42 inch interactive touch screen kiosks capable of providing information, service and advice, and three 22 inch non touch digital signage screens displaying digital advertising, changeable and updateable product information and promotional offers.

Interactive Touch Screen Kiosk:

Vodafone’s 42 inch interactive touch screen kiosk allows customers access to both its Q&A Online and Q&A Express information and advice systems, where they can search for product information, tariffs, contracts and anything else they may need assistance with. By using interactive touch screen kiosks, Vodafone allows its customers the freedom of time and choice in finding the required information i.e. specifications, prices, comparisons, etc. Interactive touch screen kiosks can also be an enjoyable way for customers to seek out their desired combination of mobile phone and tariff/contract.

Digital Advertising Screen:

Vodafone’s digital signage screens are positioned near related products e.g. new mobile phones on the market, special offers etc. Digital signage screens can be updated several times each day, week and month, in order to keep up to speed with the company’s latest products and promotions. Although non-touch, these digital signage screens provide a colourful and attractive way to convey information, not to mention an exciting part of the shop floor layout.
