Apollo Bay, Victoria
Apollo Bay is one of Victoria’s most popular tourist destinations. Located along the Great Ocean Road, the town is currently experiencing considerable growth in tourism and residential development, with around 15,000 sight-seers regularly visiting during the peak holiday season.
Previously, in-store posters and hoardings were used to provide customers with notices of present/upcoming events and other tourist information. In order to keep up-to-date with technology and the demands of its visitors, Apollo Bay began looking for a new way to communicate and interact with its customers. It found its answer with digital signage – a less expensive in the long term, fully interactive and easily updateable digital advertising system.
Apollo Bay required Easyweb to install one 46 inch digital signage screen capable of displaying changeable and updateable digital advertising, local information and upcoming events. The company also required the installation of one wireless internet hotspot and an internet café containing three cashbox equipped Easyweb wireless internet kiosks, one printer, and three headsets.
Digital Advertising Screen:
Apollo Bay’s digital signage screens
can be updated several times each day, week and month, in order to
keep up to speed with Apollo Bay’s latest news and tourist events
and promotions. They can also time-schedule data to be relayed on a
specific date. The site is equipped with a simple, easy to use,
database which relays information to its digital signage screen at
the touch of a button.
Easyweb Digital Signage is a one-stop solution to increasing sales, providing information and delivering your message through the use of eye catching LCD displays that carry rich media content. Information is easily updatable on the fly and can be distributed to a network of digital signage displays throughout the same building. Individual control over each and every digital signage screen enables you to target at branch level at the same time as carrying common content to the entire network. Wireless Hotspot (wifi):
To cater for customers/passing wifi trade
with laptops, iPhones, etc, Apollo Bay requested the installation of
a wireless hotspot.
Easyweb Wireless Hotspot users access the internet by using a pre-paid
card (that they purchase from you) or via direct online payment by
using a credit card. Users create an Easyweb Wireless internet account and are
free to roam from wifi hotspot to wifi hotspot wherever they see the Easyweb
Wireless Internet logo.

Internet Café with 3 Easyweb Internet Kiosks:
Containing three Easyweb wireless internet kiosks, the internet café is perfect for Apollo Bay’s tourism trade. Packed with applications, these internet kiosks
allow users to view files in all the popular formats such as Word
documents, PDF's, presentations, movies, images, spreadsheets and
much more. In addition, full access to portable USB drives allows the
secure upload & download of files to/from emails or the internet.
Each internet kiosk is also equipped with a cash box allowing users to pay for
as little or as much internet time as they like –with little or no
staff interaction required.
By using Easyweb Kiosk for their digital signage, wireless hotspot and internet cafe with Easyweb Wireless Internet Kiosks, Apollo Bay are able to simply and easily provide a full wifi and information service to their customers.
