Easyweb Wireless Internet - USB/Newsat Instructions
If you're an owner of a desktop PC without a pre-fitted wireless card or even in posession of a laptop with a built in wireless card, your internet access can be greatly improved by using a high powered USB adapter. A high powered USB adapter provides an easy one stop solution to successfully obtaining a high speed wireless internet connection, allowing you a greater reception, connection strength, wireless network range and a vastly improved internet surfing experience. In addition, a high powered USB adapter also cuts down on the various support issues you may encounter while using a laptop equipped with a built in wireless card.Read on for complete insutructions on how to set up, install and use your high powered USB adapter.
Laptop owners continuing to use existing wireless cards, please skip steps 1 & 2.

1) SETTING UP YOUR USB WIRELESS ADAPTER

Remove the USB ADAPTER from its packaging.

Connect the AERIAL to the GOLD CONNECTION on the BACK of the USB ADAPTER.

CONNECT the SMALL END of the USB CABLE to the PORT on the FRONT of the USB ADAPTER.

CONNECT the LARGE END of the USB CABLE to your computer's USB PORT.
2) INSTALLING USB WIRELESS ADAPTER

Once the ADAPTER is connected via USB CABLE to your computer, a box reading FOUND NEW HARDWARE should appear on your screen.

Inside the box are THREE options. Select the THIRD option NO, NOT AT THIS TIME. Click NEXT.

The following screen will ask you to INSERT CD. Open your computer's CD/DVD tray and insert the USER MANUAL/DRIVER CD. The CD should automatically begin to play.

Click the INSTALL THE SOFTWARE AUTOMATICALLY option & then click NEXT.

The box will now show you that it is LOOKING FOR THE SOFTWARE. Once found, the computer will automatically INSTALL the software.

The computer will inform you when it has finished INSTALLING the software. Once complete click FINISH. You may now remove the CD & begin connecting to the internet.
3) CONNECTING TO THE INTERNET
If you've decided to use your laptop's wireless card, please turn it on now.

Once the driver has been installed you will now be able to connect to a WIRELESS NETWORK.

On the TASKBAR at the bottom of the screen you will see a small image of a PC with CURVED LINES. This is your wireless connection. Move your arrow onto the image of the PC and DOUBLE LEFT CLICK.

You should now see on the screen a large box reading WIRELESS NETWORK CONNECTION.

You will also see within the same box a CHOOSE A WIRELESS NETWORK option showing all NETWORKS currently available to you. Look for the SSID – Easyweb NewSat Wireless - & select CONNECT. A small box with a moving line will now appear. This box shows the progress of the CONNECTION.

The box will DISAPPEAR once your computer has CONNECTED TO THE INTERNET.

Once connected you can CLOSE the box for the WIRELESS NETWORK CONNECTION by clicking X at the top right of the box & continue with your online access by logging into the Easyweb Wireless Network.
4) LOGGING INTO EASYWEB WIRELESS NETWORK

Now that you have successfully connected to the internet, you simply need to open your favourite web browser (Internet Explorer, Mozilla Firefox or the like) and you will be redirected automatically to the Easyweb log in page. Logging in requires you to create an Easyweb account by either purchasing a pre-paid card from your nearest seller or by registering and paying via our online credit card payment system.
You can purchase pre-paid cards from your nearest seller or obtain online access directly from your computer using most major credit cards.

Minute based plans are always reusable so you can log in and out as many times as you need until all time credit or download limit has been used.

Day based plans are non reusable and last for exactly X days from first log in i.e. you purchase a one day plan and log in for the first time at 10am Tuesday. Your session will expire at 10am on Wednesday, exactly 24 hours later.
All plans will expire as soon as the download limit
or time limit has been reached – whichever comes first!
And please note that…
All credit card transactions and information entered into the Easyweb Wireless welcome page are
encrypted to internet banking standards using 128 bit high-grade encryption
. This makes it very difficult and highly unlikely that anyone would be able to view this information as it travels across the internet.
Easyweb will never store any credit card information that you have submitted through our hotspot on our servers. All credit card processing is ‘straight through’ processing using trusted Australian banking institutions.
Pre-Paid Cards – purchase from the hotspot location or nearest seller…
All pre-paid cards require you to register an account first. Use the CARD ID and CARD PIN from the pre-paid card to create your own username and password.

From the welcome page click on the PIN CARD SIGN-UP link.

Then create your own Username and Password - something easy for you to remember…

Enter the details from
t he pre-paid card into
t he Card Info field.

Enter your name and
an email address then
scroll down to the
bottom of the page
and click on Register.

Now you can log-in
with the Username &
Password you just
created!
Now that you have a username and password registered with Easyweb you can easily top up your account using a pre-paid card or credit card payment.
To top up your balance using a pre-paid card, simply click on the PIN CARD REFILL link, enter the username to refill and enter the details (Card ID & Card PIN) from the pre-paid card.
To top up your balance using an online credit card payment, click on CREDIT CARD REFILL , select the plan you would like to purchase, enter your username and password then follow the prompts.
5) LOGGING OUT OF EASYWEB WIRELESS NETWORK
Logging out is as simple as…

Clicking on the Logout button in the status page. If you have lost this page then simply enter http://hotspot.easywebkiosk.com/status into the address bar in you browser. Then click the Logout button!

All sessions will automatically time-out after six minutes should you fail to log out.
6) DISCONNECTING FROM THE INTERNET

Disconnect from the internet by returning to the small image of a PC with CURVED LINES on the TASKBAR at the bottom of your screen. Move your arrow onto the image of the PC and DOUBLE LEFT CLICK.

You should now see on the screen a large box reading WIRELESS NETWORK CONNECTION.

You will also see within the same box a CHOOSE A WIRELESS NETWORK option showing all NETWORKS currently available to you.

Find the SSID – Easyweb NewSat Wireless – SINGLE LEFT CLICK on it and then click DISCONNECT at the bottom of the box.
You have now disconnected from the internet. When re-connecting, please follow steps 3 & 4.
