Platform Independent
Regardless of the platform connecting to the WiFi portal, all content is delivered in a format suited to the specific device. Smartphones are handled differently to notebooks, an iPhone receives a different layout from a Blackberry, and content such as video is formatted as required.

Access Controls
easyweb Info-Portals have a host of access controls for the management and connection of different groups of users:
- All connected wireless devices are automatically bridged onto our network regardless of their device’s network configuration.
- Connections can be time-limited
- Download limitations ensure fair use and keep data usage within expected budgets
- Bandwidth shaping and allocation ensures a consistently smooth user
- Time of day controls to restrict/permit access to certain resources outside of defined hours i.e. no internet access after close of business – only access to the info-portal
- Time-of-day controls to permit access to specific resources within defined hours.
Where public internet access is required, content filtering is a provided to Internet Industry Australia standards for family friendly internet.
Hardware
A dedicated wireless gateway appliance ensures the intelligent allocation of bandwidth and access to specified resources. Commercial grade hardware manages a network of wireless access points guaranteeing a seamless user experience.
The system can be integrated into existing wireless infrastructure or delivered over an easyweb installed system. Either way, the info-portal remains secure and entirely separate from other wireless networks.
Integration
easyweb’s info-portal solution will integrate with existing wireless infrastructure from vendors such as Cisco, Motorola & Aruba. We simply configure and install a gateway appliance at each location. This technology establishes a separate virtual network (VLAN) which shows up with a dedicated SSID on users’ devices. The wireless network can be named as desired.
Once connected to this virtual network (VLAN), all devices are addressed and managed by our gateway appliance, enabling delivery of updateable content and access to specified online resources.
